FirmFit Silent was developed to be The Silent Rigid Core Floor, engineered to truly champion the quest for a quieter high performing hard surface solution. All hard surface floor covering solutions today have come a long way in improving in durability, beauty, waterproofness etc. but whether you’re talking about laminate, wood, tiles or Rigid Core, most still share the same downside to varying degrees, and that’s sound.
Sound is tricky. All frequencies aren’t heard equally, or reflected equally. FirmFit Silent is not made of one material, it’s a Patented construction engineered to use multiple distinct layers from different materials that each block specific frequencies of sound which overall greatly improves acoustic performance.
FirmFit Silent is up to 6X quieter than a normal 4mm Rigid Core with 1mm cork and up to 3X more silent than a 5.5mm WPC with 1mm cork (remember how everyone was talking about how WPC is so quiet?). This is for reflecting sound, the sound that you hear within the room. Think of the clonking of people’s heels walking around you in the office, or all the bangs and thumps when kids are running around and throwing things at home.
